Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow with GLOW Academy

Empowering the Leaders of Tomorrow with GLOW Academy

In light of International Women’s Day today, we’d like to shine a spotlight on an organization that champions inclusivity, equality and women’s community and empowerment. GLOW, a women's leadership academy dedicated to nurturing the next generation of female leaders is based in Wilmington, NC, where Home & Table is based. While Home & Table was founded just over a year ago, our founder, Anna Maria, has been supporting GLOW for years as an individual.

The Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington, or GLOW, shares our commitment to empowering women and fostering leadership skills from a young age. Through their innovative programs and initiatives, GLOW provides girls with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. As part of our partnership, Anna Maria will be collaborating with GLOW to support their mission and amplify their impact in the Wilmington community.

One of the key initiatives of the partnership is the launch of a mentorship program, where women from Home & Table will have the opportunity to serve as mentors to GLOW participants. Through one-on-one guidance, shared experiences, and meaningful connections, these mentors will help inspire and empower the next generation of female leaders.

“I have built my career around coaching executives and women leaders around the world,” said Anna Maria, Founder of Home & Table. “This mentorship program will be an extension of that passion, allowing us to directly impact the lives of young women right here in our own community. By sharing our experiences, knowledge, and support, we can help shape the leaders of tomorrow and create a more inclusive and empowered society.”

Additionally, Anna Maria attends and supports events focused on supporting the school with the resources to foster more opportunities for leadership development, career exploration, and personal growth. By supporting and championing access to valuable resources, funds, and insights, we aim to equip GLOW students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in both their personal and professional lives.

As a woman-owned small business, we’re proud to see our founder taking the initiative to not only support young women, but encourage other women to participate in the opportunity as well. On this warm Wilmington International Women’s Day, we’re inspired by these opportunities and excited to continue to celebrate the strength, resilience, and potential of women everywhere throughout the year, too.
