Covering the carafe, the lid is made from solid, exotic wood from self-sustaining forests.
If required, wash with mild dish soap, a gentle cloth and warm water, and dry immediately. Occasionally apply a food safe vegetable or mineral oil to help prevent stains and preserve a smooth, rich finish. Do not soak to avoid cracking and warping.
